Who We Are

We are a LGBTQIA+ production company and collaborators the collective behind Sissy Screens, a not-for-profit organisation championing queer creative arts. Directed and crewed entirely by queer artists, our capabilities include end-to-end film & online content production, photography, copywriting, branding and web development. We take on commissioned projects, brand partnerships and collaborative creative projects with aligned businesses, individuals and organisations. Queer cultural production is vital and visibility is power. Our goal is to amplify and celebrate the voices of LGBTQIA+ people and bring our experiences, perspectives and work to the fore.

Disco Instamatic

You’re invited to step inside an innovative, glittering and glamorous reimagining of the traditional music video. Created in collaboration with queer screen culture magazine Sissy Screens, Disco Instamatic is a large-scale, hyper-colour projection work, underscored by the Butch Le Butch remix of Tanzer’s new single Deep Fried Disco. Featuring 20 superstars of Melbourne’s queer arts scene, including Tanzer, The Huxleys, Mo’Ju, Karen From Finance, Atong Atem and Aysha Buffet, this immersive experience is not to be missed. See More

Champions of Pride
Pride Campaign

To celebrate Pride Month, Champion has launched its inaugural Pride range. Sissy Screens worked with the cult streetwear brand, alongside PUSH and TABOO, to produce the celebratory campaign for ‘Champions of Pride’. The capsule collection is fronted by five queer artists from Australia and New Zealand, with the range’s signature colourful gradient style paying homage to the inherent uniqueness and diversity of the talent: musician Jesswar, artist Frances Cannon, DJ and producer Sullivan Patten, artist Joseph Althouse and dancer Elvis Lopeti. Are You Still Watching? is a production by Sissy Screens, a digital magazine dedicated to queer screen culture supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria. It was heartening to see the State Government, various local councils and arts organisations expand funding opportunities to help foster creativity and artistic expression during those dire months and we are thankful for the support of Melbourne Queer Film Festival, Victoria Together and Creative Victoria for making this project possible.
